According to a couple of the most widely recognized and authoritative sources, the American Psychological Association (APA) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), psychology is, succinctly put, the scientific study of mind and behavior.
That is, it studies what people do, as well as their mental processes and internal subjective experience. It acquires its knowledge not merely on opinion or hearsay, but draws conclusions based on the testing of hypotheses through careful and often repeated observation, often occurring in a community of established standards for research in order to meet a certain level of rigor to qualify as valid or credible. It also concerns itself with how this knowledge can be applied in normal life for the general population, for example, in areas of education, healthcare, the workplace, social services, justice system, and personal growth.
Anyone interested in self-understanding, growth, and wellbeing is welcome. You don’t need a background in psychology or any specific concern to start. Our approach is designed for people who want to feel more centered, purposeful, and effective in their daily lives.
We offer three primary avenues of engagement: (1) Online Courses; (2) Live Practice Groups (in-person & online), & (3) Free Live Workshops (in-person & online).
All services are led by trained facilitators with backgrounds in psychology, wellbeing science, or related fields.
You can browse our upcoming programs on our website, then register online or contact us for a brief consultation to find the right fit. Once registered, you’ll receive details about your first session and what to bring or prepare.
No. While our programs are psychologically informed, they are not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical treatment. If ysou’re experiencing significant distress, you may consider finding appropriate mental health resources.
Participants often report greater clarity, confidence, emotional balance, and motivation. While everyone’s journey is unique, the goal is to help you build a deeper sense of purpose and wellbeing, and to apply psychological tools in your daily life.
WisdomPsych avails itself to the most fundamental questions of human existence: What is it to be a human being? What is a good and meaningful life? What is a life of flourishing or wellbeing? How can we be a positive presence in the world rather than a negative one? To answer these and other fundamental questions we look to Wisdom studies (the accumulated treasure trove of wisdom of humanity as well as new innovations, contemporary discoveries and forms). We also take an interdisciplinary approach and draw from modern psychology, the social sciences, philosophy, neuroscience as well as other disciplines. Finally, we’ve distilled this into a user-friendly version for accessible and hands-on application for one’s own everyday life and core concerns.
